In 2016 I became the first artist to take up a residency at the Old Fire Station, Carlisle City Council's then flagship music and arts venue. Over a two year tenure, I was granted unfettered access to make sketches, studies and preparatory drawings of the bands, artists and musicians who performed at the venue, culminating in 2018 with a month long summer exhibition titled, Northern Songs.
